Twednesday : Free Twitter buttons and logos
The lovely Jane, aka eAuctionAnorak, aka my first blog sprog, aka Demon Bead Lady pointed out to me that TwitterButtons' images seem to have vanished. Shame, because they had some good ones, and auto-generating the "follow-me" code was useful. If you're now looking for a new way to link your Twitter account from your blog or website, here are some sources of lovely icons we've noticed:
- Vincent Abry has 31 beautiful logos free for non-commercial use.
- Josiah from Siah Design has animated and non-animated logos with white or transparent backgrounds. And he'll personalise them for just $10.
- TwitButtons lets you input your Twitter ID and automatically generates the HTML code for you. This is an easy way to get your button, but if the site goes off-line (as Twitter Buttons did), you'll be left with no logo. So might be better to download the picture to your own server rather than linking theirs.
- Hongkiat has 100 remarkably beautiful Twitter icons and buttons. Some really lovely and HUGE images there.
- Limeshot has a follow-me button to suit just about everyone's style
- Iconspedia has many lovely Twitter buttons, often part of icon sets. Terms of use vary, so do check.
Updated to add the good news that TwitterButtons is back!

Hi Sue, Sorry to bother you, but could you please tell me how you added the "contact" buttons at the top right in your side bar? I just want to add twitter, facebook, linked in and rss to my new page.
Thank you SO much for your help!
Julie
It's just HTML - image and link tag.
okay, thanks. LOL I spent the past hour or so searching plug-ins.
